Being surrounded by mountains it seemed like a good idea to order pan fried mountain trout. I was in Denver, after all. Lucile's came well recommended. And the Eggs Pontchartrain sounded good: trout, topped with poached eggs, smothered in bernaise and served with grits, biscuit and home fries. Indeed it was good. But only good. Not great...

Excellent breakfast joint.
A little cramped but still adequate seating.
Ordered shrimp and grits. They were excellent. You have to add the house made hot sauce to get the full effect.

Lucile's Creole Cafe, there is availability of - Clothing Biscuits & Jam Spices & Sauces Drinks Misc. Gift Baskets Wholesale cooking,creole, new orleans, boulder, colorado, lucile....this dish of this cafe seems quite different..

Great food. Service staff wasn't the most attentive, but were nice. Food is excellent and comparable to New Orleans cuisine!

When I was growing up, Lucile's, Denver swamped in red sauces and used to be my best dish.
Mouth-watering breakfast joint. I really wonder how it will taste?
