Gordon Ramsay Scrambles Eggs

According to Gordon Ramsay, the best test of cooking skills is whether you can scramble an egg. Breakfast chefs take note: don't over-cook; don't season too early; don't pre-whisk; and don't serve on soggy toast. It's also interesting to note his choice of vine tomatoes as the perfect side to scrambled eggs. Did Ramsay steal this idea from Andrew McConnell, or was it the other way round? Probably a coincidence...

wow! i made these for breakfast this morning and they were the BEST scrambles i've ever had (not including grandma's of course). i used neufchatel in place of creme fraiche and served 'em up with pan roasted tomatoes, sprouted wheat toast, sliced avocado, and a big mug of coffee. mmm. thanks for posting that!

Isn't it a touch ironic that Gordan burns the toast whilst saying that you can judge the quality of a chef by the scrambled eggs he cooks?!! Surely it isn't that hard to make perfect toast. Nice way of scrambling eggs though.

I like Gordon, I think his eggs leave me cold though. I am not a fan of goey scrambled eggs but I liked watching him make them.

I think my English girlfriend just lost a little enthusiasm for the website when she checked you'd spelt Mr. RAMSAY's name wrong not once, but twice.

It has taken me a year to comment on this, but I am now going to return fire on the Gordon Ramsay spelling scandal. To the spelling-nazi who complained, you will see that I'm now using the Ramsay-with-an-A spelling. But I was reading his biography the other day, and there are newspaper clipping from his days as a child football star. And what do you know, every one of those clippings calls him Ramsey. That's Ramsey-with-an-E. So I am guessing he chose to change the spelling at some point, possibly to distance himself from his deadbeat father of the same name.

Which is a long way of telling rocklow and his girlfriend to find something better to do with their time than make spurious spelling claims without checking all the facts. I wonder if his legal name is still "Ramsey" and whether "Ramsay" is just a stage name?

I trully HATE gordon ramsay on kitchen nightmares he always slags the food at the start when served, before his magical hands have had a chance? I mean can you name even one time he's EVER said "yeh the food's dry but tastes ok, or nice texture but too bland" its ALWAYS negative, let the master fix you! sorta bulls--t, because you know he's advised to do so, would'nt make much of a show otherwise! You'r trying to tell me that not once has he enjoyed the taste of any the food he's tried in all the episode's? When someone dosent like his food they get told too simple "FU-KOFF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU'R TALKING ABOUT"line. So unbelievably FAKE. Do you know over two thirds of the restaurants he's visited have closed! The mans a money/power hungry fool, Am i the only one who see's this?
