it would be super too - if you kept your Melbourniocoolio flavour but put a little thing in for the rest of us who live in lame parts of this country - like Sydney. Like - if you decided to do a "best shallow town breakfast award" - or something. That way I'd have some clue about what the great breakfast bloggers thought was worth while in my stinky town. :]

Well, Melissa, I really need more tips about places to try in Sydney, so I can (a) try them, and (b) decide which are best. I tried a couple of good places in Sydney in 2006, namely Three Eggs in Bondi, and Fifi Foveaux's in Surry Hills. And Bills.

Here's one for your next trip to Sydney: Luigi's in Glenayr Ave, Bondi.
They do great ricotta hotcakes with yoghurt and berries and a delicous scrambled eggs with tomato, ham and basil.
Another excellent choice is Una's in Victoria Street, Darlinghurst. It serves breakfast Austrian-style: eggs, bacon and potato roesti. Great cure for a hangover.
Went to Danks St Depot in Waterloo for breakfast last Sunday and had an unusual, more-ish... and expensive, poached eggs on bacon hash concoction.
